A colleague of mine in this crazy business I like to call The Interwebs is running something amazingly cool this summer. It is called Summer Camp Adventure Club. Her name is Beth and she’s crazy talented in many ways including, but most definitely not limited to, education. She created this summer camp for all of us moms who want to have a fulfilling vacation with our kids. One full of good books, adventures, and imagination! My only problem is that I get so caught up in everyday things (i.e., work, cleaning, cooking, errands, and more errands) that I don’t always have time to do lesson plans, for lack of a better word. This is where Beth comes in and saves the day!
I can’t tell you how thorough and exciting the activities are. My favorite part is the daily book review. Each day has a new book that goes along with the week’s theme. It’s like a super-fun unit study without all the math and language arts that we have to do during the school year! AND (and I will repeat) I don’t have to do any of the planning myself. Wohoo!
Check it out today: Summer Camp Adventure Club! The pricing is amazingly reasonable considering all your kids get to go to “camp” for the same price. I’ve looked into camps and I’ll be the first to attest that it does NOT come cheap, especially when you start to multiply it by 2, 3, or more kids. Although, let’s face it. Even the dollar movies can start to look expensive with the number of kids we have.
Anywho, go sign up and make some precious, happy memories with your kids this summer. And tell Beth I sent you!
**I’m not making any referral money off of it, I just thought that would be a good way to end the post. In retrospect it may not have been, especially since I had to leave this disclaimer. We live and learn. But mostly the former and not much of the latter.
